I use fleece in a 2x4 C&C and I machine wash the fleece and towels every 2-3 days but it gets so messy with all the pooing they do. What do you do to keep the fleece smelling nice and staying clean?

I pick up poops three times a day to keep it clean. I then change all the towels and fleece every three days. Maybe as you have a smaller area you should change it every two days.

I have a litter tray that my girls use, just filled with newspaper and hay. They do still poo and wee on the fleece though so sweep up the poo every day and clean their litter tray. Then when the fleece has been washed i hang it outside (when the wether is nice) so it airs out and a lot of bits of hay and fur get blown off in the wind.

I bought a cheap ASDA hand held vac, and i keep it under the piggy cage then just give it a quick spruce up every now and then if the pigs are lucky twice a day, if not then just the once.
I also keep like gel air fresheners in the room so it doesn't smell bad, these aren't harmful to piggies (as long as they can't reach them) because they don't spray out anything nasty !

Also brought a lovely rubber pet hair remover brush which is amazing, best thing i ever bought which keeps hair off the fleece and off your clothes too.

I was keen on buying a hand held. We need a new hoover anyway. Has anyone tried that Dyson Animal vaccuum cleaner? It's supposed to be awesome with pet hair.
