You can also put piggy waste in your household bin and in some - but not all - areas in the garden bin.

Thank you for your replys! We do ususally put it in our garden waste bin but this week is the last week they are collecting it for winter, so we're not able to put it in there anymore

mine goes to the local tip,not able to put in garden waste.Fleece helps to minimise the waste.

I recently got a new compost bin as want to start a small veg garden and the leaflet that came with it recommended guinea pig or rabbit droppings if you have them as they're a good activator.

As guinea pigs are non meat eaters my local council will allow their refuse in the green garden bin. So my guinea pigs are doing things for the planet!

We don't have green garden waste bins up here (sigh) I tend to free range compost...... don't ask
