Hi I am trying and failing to get my pigs to use another level in their cage, they will not climb up the ladder, if you put them up they choose to go over the edge rather than down the ladder, not clever.
Is there a material best suited to the ladder for the pigs to climb on?
I have tried putting food up, wood and plastic ladders.
Please help I really want them to have as much space as possible!

I think ramps (solid) tend to be advised for piggies rather than ladders (rugged). Aside from that it sounds like the angle might be too steep?

Hi there, not all piggies will use a ramp. All of mine steadfastly refused. But often using a ramp tunnel can help them
Here is a fabulous thread about ramps.Piggies And Ramps

Ramp with sides, thought that would be the next option, being new to this I just assume that if they sell the cage with the ladder as is that the animals are ok with it, but pigs are bumblers, will get crafting!

Mine took to it really quickly, but they're both very young. Adding more ''rungs'' to the ramp might be necessary for better grip, or a tunnel like suggested above (I tried that when attempting to persuade my boys, worked very well although they would stand on top rather than going through.. doh!)
