I am rubbish at cleaning my inside windows (60 in September and still can't get it right)

The windows with nets are fine as the net covers the window.

Have 3 windows facing back garden and a door that don't have nets and however I clean them when the sun shines on the windows you can see where I have wiped the windows... does that make any sense?
I thought I had found the answer by using window wipes even though I really hate using wipes of any kind, but you can still see where I have wiped when the sun shines on the windows.

Any ideas most welcomed.

I use a window cleaning spray or soapy water first and then wipe over with a little vinegar on a microfibre cloth. Gets rid of all streaky bits.

I use cheap Lidl glass cleaner, I've found it to be far better than the more expensive big brand names. 👍

I use hot water (hotter the better) it evaporates off and dries quicker. Buff up with an old cotton tee shirt (must be cotton no polyester!).

I use the tiniest drip of washing up liquid or floor cleaner (flash liquid) as they're both degreasers into some hot water, with a splash of vinegar in the water too.

I wash the windows on cool, dull days.

I have 2 sizes of window cleaner squeegee - only cheap ones from a bargain store & squeegee the washed window from top to bottom (usually at a slight angle so the water runs off the window on the lower side on the direction you're yet to wipe).
Work along from one side to the other & wipe with a cotton cloth any excess water at the bottom of the window pane, wiping the rubber squeegee blade each time so it doesn't drip on the window (don't put softener in the cloths water when washing, that'll smear glass too).
Then buff it dry with a window cleaners 'scrim' cloth, this polishes the glass so it's smear free & shiny :D
(again when washing scrim cloth, use no fabric softener).
Professional Window Cleaners Scrim Cloth GRADE A Prewashed 3 Sizes | eBay this type of cloth.

Funnily enough, newspaper makes glass shine too if used instead of the scrim cloth.

Good luck with streak free glass :D

I use smol glass cleaner and some kitchen roll - it's good at getting tiny grubby fingerprints off the windows and I've not noticed any streaks left behind 👍
