Is it just pure strength? :hmm:or is there a special way to do it?
Thinking of trying the girls with a hay rack as I am chucking so much hay away it seems just lately... I know they like the condiments of wee & poo but .....

I’m commenting simply so I’ll get notified of replies as I’m hoping to find out the answer too.

You’ll notice there is a weld join around the edge where the two ends of the periphery meet, do not bend here or else it will more than likely break. I would do the bend over something like a rolling pin to create a nice radius and less chance of anything snapping.

So speaks the engineer.

Other half is an Engineer so I will tell him - he will ignore me so I expect I am better to try with a rolling pin XD Thanks @Tim

Or perhaps a bucket for a larger radius, it all depends on what you are after. I personally haven’t bent any, just pointing out possible problems which may arise ;) That’s my engineering head for you... :))

I just had a thought 💭 you may struggle with a rolling pin if it’s less than the width of the grid, mine’s a titchy one at 9 inches :(
Arm of a chair perhaps?

I’m starting to envisage an injured artcasper at a and e explaining various injuries to her anatomy and describing the mechanics of how they occurred while attempting to bend a c and c grid.

Option 1

Get a block of wood... any block that has straight edges. Place block in desired position, kneel on block and pull grid up gently holding sides of grid in both hands

Sorry about the poor quality picture

My rolling pin wouldn't work lol....

I just used brute strength when I bent mine to make ramps, didn't think of anything technical. I've bent 4 but found out about the welded join the hard way on the first one, still useable though, you can't see the popped joint at the end when it's covered! If I ever have to do it again I'll try the bending round wood method I think.

The wood definanately helps..... And it gives a straighter line too.
