My lovely shed 8x6 shed was perfect in winter, now summers hit the double doors are open all day but they need shutting & locking at night. The fan just isnt enough :(. It has a plastic window which i was thinking of either removing and putting mesh up OR drilling holes in it :S

I have no-one to help me design it properly (DIY person or even any1 handy)
Its just me. I dont mind building wooden frames/drilling/sawing , I'm abit of tomboy when it comes to that lol

I also need to get the rabbit out my shed and into the garden for summer, but again need help designing how i can do it. She has a 5ft hutch that needs a run attatching somehow :S its on legs so i have no idea

Please help anyone ! :)) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have the same problem with my bunnies right now. I have an 8X6 shed too. I can't leave the door open since I have cats who'd eat all the bunnies :) In my shed there was plastic on the inside so I tore all that off so there is more air getting in (it won't be as good in winter, but they need air) and I'm taking out the plastic window to replace with mesh, once I buy more mesh. I'm going to keep the bit of plastic so that if I need to in the winter, on a bad day, I can just put the piece of plastic back on.

You could try drilling holes in places in parts of the shed, but remember that in winter they'll make it colder or drafts might get in. I'm you can get ventilation grids and put them in the door or something.

Also you can do things like fill 2 litre plastic bottles with water and freeze it and put them in there for the rabbits/pigs to lean against. And you can put down some tiles for them to sit on to be cooler. Make sure they have loads of water too.

I can't leave them in there in this lovely weather we're having, because it's like an oven in there! They're out in their runs and still really hot :(

You could add an aviary panel style door inside the shed so the main doors could be left open for air to circulate, or if you dont want a full door, you could just cut the main door across by about a foot from the top to make it open like a stable door high up and then use a mesh door on the inside of that, so no animal can get in that high up at night, your main door is shut but air can circulate through the top mesh opening.

You can also try ice pods for them to snuggle against - we have an offer of 2 for £9.99 at the moment if that helps at all.
