Helloo! I hope your day is going very well!

I am wondering what is recommended in cases of having multiple C&C cages.
So i have a 5x2 C&C cage that at this point houses 2 boars (sonic and Jeffery), they have two of everything but I am noticing they are starting to have little tiffs here and there so starting to plan for the worse to happen (a fall out), I hope it doesn't but best to be prepared.

So my idea is to get the boys fixed and get them a girlfriend. Then have two C&C cages going in one long line against the wall next to each other, with a small gap between them (so a 5x2 cage, next to a 4x2). or my other option is towered? so have the C&C cage on top of the other? What would work best?

Or would having the two cages in the same room be a bad idea?

Your advice is much appreciated :).
Thank you!

Hello, hope yours is too! :)

I'm afraid you can't get 2 boars a female, they will fight each other and you would have to separate them.

Are you planning on separating them into different cages and get the neutered and then a female each? That would be the only option if you wanted to get sows, and I'm not sure on distance of the cages in this scenario I'm afraid.

Also my girls often have little tiffs because they just like to bicker lol. I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about :)

I plan to get two cages, separate them, get them neutered and both a new girlfriend if the bickering gets worse.
My question is can you have two cages right next to each other or on top of each other? or is it not a good idea because they can smell the other females or because they were old cage mates?

you can do either,as each male will have his own sow.it is usually only a problem when you have boar pairs in same cage,,too near sows,it can set the males off.you can have stacking c and c cages or two seperate cages !

If they're just having little bickers at each other you won't need to separate, only if it gets more serious and blood is drawn (as horrible as it sounds) but I'm sure they'll be just fine :)

Should the worst happen, have you looked into piggy savvy vets to find a reputable person to do the surgeries? Not all vets are good piggy vets as I have found out.
