Ive got a c&c cage (4x2) single floor

my gp's have the basic accesories i.e hide outs, hay rack, bowls, balls, hay etc however ive not been able to get any toys yet and wondered if anyone has any ideas how i can make their cage interesting for them until i get to the shop?

Thanks! :)

Dont waste your money on shop bought toys! Brown paper bags stuffed with hay and treats, cardboard boxes with holes cut out for them to run through, toilet/kitchen rool tubes stuffed with hay and treats, make hanging mobiles out of toilet roll tubes and cardboard and hide treats in it for them. xx

A fav with mine are paper bags filled with hay and hanging a bit of string over the cage and pegging some veggies to it, they go mad for it!

I totally agree! Shop made "toys" can actually have paint etc on them which is harmful to piggies, it's much better to use natural stuff. You can't go wrong with these, cut the handles off first & stuff with hay:

Mine love them! I also cut a toilet roll down the length & then pop in a little piece of pepper, carrot etc & then hay on top. They then have to search for their food :)

I like run a bit of string through an empty toilet roll tube and hang it from the ceiling, stuffed with hay and with some little pieces of carrot or blueberries hidden in the middle for them to find. :)

I also cycle toys through the cage weekly, so every time they get a big cage clean, they come home to "new" toys to play with. I find they get bored and ignore toys within a few days if I leave the same thing in all the time.
