It's a 3 by 4, shared by two boars, with an incomplete 1 by 3 upper level.
They enjoyed it at first, did a few laps, but now they've had it about a week they just sit bored in their huts all day.
Any tips on how to make it more stimulating for them?

Maybe abit more hay, my piggies love having three litter trays full so the more the better IMO. Also my girls like chubes, and tunnels!

yep they are probably playing when you are not there also put things in different places and rotate their toys i find keeps them interested!

It may be a bit open for them! You could try draping some material over the corners to create new sheltered hideys so that they have somewhere to run to... maybe also try scattering veg around the floor? that way they will be encouraged to venture!

Every time I clean out Rogers cage I move a couple of things around, mind you he popcorns and does zoomies at the drop of hat so I don't think it makes a lot of difference to him. Maybe move their hides to the corners and reposition the log thingy.

Hi

I have a cage like yours (same size with an incomplete 1st story aswell!) and my pigs don't do a great deal in it at the mo, very occassional laps etc, but I find when I clean them out, if I put them back in before putting all the bowls etc in, then they popcorn like crazy! Mabelle actually bashes into the end (I've got the fleece up at one end like you have too).

Like other posters say, rearrange stuff quite often. I also bought a hay ball thing (like this http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/accessories/hay_racks/13210) which they seem to like. I did get little toys, a plastic ball with a bell in it and another ball thing that you can put treats in, in the hope that they would push them around. Although I've never seen them play with them, I have heard the bell a few times but this might just be when they pass it!

I think having access to the first floor (if that's what you are intending on doing) would also give them something new to do. I'm going to make a second C&C cage and have them both as single story cages and have two groups of three with mine. I may in the future make 1st floors for them, but at the moment it isn't my plan.
