i've just ordered a new run for mollie and benjie. i went for a smaller size than the one we have now, but think it's still ok? - 5ft x 3ft x 2ft sheltered end run. got about a three week wait for it though but hopefully that will go quickly! :)

that sounds a lovely size.
I'd just taken a picture of one of my runs as my guinea pigs are currently in the kitchen - out of the heat .

Max is very chilled - despite the heat

my runs came from runaround. The one in the picture is 4ftx4ft - and 16" high.

they have doors in the corners ( you can see on in the picture - I've covered it with a piece of green plastic as that way , I can make sure I've closed it !)

When they are having grass time, I can connect several runs together ...

looks great :tu: aw look at max! :luv: mollie still loves her hay nest aswell, even in this weather! :))

our run now is 6ft x 4ft x 2ft but it takes up alot of our small garden and i can't move it by myself :mal:

@PiggyOwner mollie in her hay nest! :))

I don't have one yet :( we've go all sorts of nasties in the garden, red ants being one so I don't want to risk putting them in the garden until it's all sorted out.

:DI have three metal runs, but only use two, 144 X 116 X 58 CM. I got mine from "Petcentre Online. com" but they don't have them any more. You can get similar from Amazon. Search "Square-shaped Run with Roof" . Very expensive at £67.99 I use them with a sunshade from Scratch and Newton and a Trixie hut for shelter. I can sort of connect two together, by taking one side out of each.

:DI sometimes find that I've put a run down near a black ant nest and the little buggars are crawling all over the Trixie huts! Mind you, the piggies aren't bothered by them. Only me!

we get a lot of black ants too. During grass time, when it was cooler, I'd put a snuggle safe heat pad in some of the hideys . I think the ants appreciated the warmth more than the guinea pigs !

I love the looks of the Run-Around range :) Love the scope. Expensive though in my opinion though probably very well made... I really do like the fact that it's expandable - so many options :)

Mine is 6x3 but 5x3 should be fine - I find that mine don't usually run around anyhow, they just munch and shuffle on to the next patch mostly, but I like to put various tunnels in, so the size is good for accommodating these. The 5x3 should be able to accommodate pigs and tunnels/hidies perfectly well :)

hopefully they will approve! the others never seemed to use all the available space anyway and would be under the sheltered part mainly. and if on grass, they'd just stuff their faces rather than run around! :))

mollie and benjie don't go out alot really and only for an hour or two at a time so hopefully they'll approve and the change of scene will be appreciated anyway :)

When I 1st saw the runaround website, I did no more than look - the price put me off. I like runs that have some sort of protecting cover .

Some of the wooden ones some forum members have look good too.

If I was starting afresh , I'd consider these too ...

I personally only go for runs that are foldable without having to undo screws etc, as I take mine in and out the garage -I don't like the thoughts of leaving a run out in all weathers, so for me personally being easily collapsible is a must. I am not convinced the one you link is easily foldable once it's been put together, but if that's not an issue for you then otherwise it looks lovely. I like all the doors on it.

i've already bought a waterproof cover for the new run. a lesson learned from keeping the old one outdoors all year round and not taking care of it :mal: although i did paint it a very pretty pale green colour but some places have still gone a bit rotten from the rain! and i accidently broke one panel aswell. i used it to haul myself up from inside the run and i snapped it  :))

this is the one we have now. pics were when it was brand new and ches and maisie went in it for the first time :luv: i didn't even paint it until a long while after :mal:

i've bought this exact same run just in a smaller size. the only issue with these is that rain water gathers in the solid lid if you don't cover it! but it's a good run at a good price and the man who runs the company is really nice and into animal welfare which is important to me. :) you have to ask if you want any extras like proper bolts. i don't get them just because we always supervise run time :)
