Hi folks. I am seeking advice regarding what detergent to use to wash fleeces. I use 3 in 1 pods to do my own laundry and wonder whether this would be too harsh and may cause sensitivity. Thanks in advance

Don’t use such pods if they contain a fabric softener. You can’t use fabric softener on the fleeces as it will stop them from wicking. I use a normal non bio detergent

One of my boys was diagnosed with possible mites. All of my piggies have been treated accordingly. I have fleece tunnels and am seeking advice regarding how to wash them to ensure they cannot cause a reinfestation. I was considering spraying with F10 and washing in hot soapy water. Would this suffice. I’d only used the tunnels once prior to diagnosis so would rather not throw away if it can be avoided. Thanks in advance j

I would clean the cage with F10 and put all fleece items in a hot wash in the machine.

We add a bit of dettol (just half a capful in the detergent drawer, the sort of dettol for bathing cuts and washing handkerchiefs not the floor cleaning kind) to our fleecy laundry rather than detergent, but a long hot wash at 60 is the best plan for killing mites and smelly bacteria rather than relying on any chemical treatments I think!
