I guess it depends on how big you make the C&C cage, but I chose the 3 storey cage cos it's bigger cos it has three storeys :) And I find C&C can be quite expensive if you make them big and multi-storeyed, but if you make a one storey big open topped one on the ground then that'd be way cheaper I guess :))

I like the hutch too, but I feel like they're best for a run just for getting outside in the summer, because they're very open for guinea pigs so wind and rain could get in, and they might feel too exposed . . .

I voted c & c. They are just so versatile, you may be able to give your piggies more room by changing the shape of the cage for example. As long as your piggies aren't adventurous, then having the open top is great too as it feels less cage like...more like a fence to keep them safe :))

I will always vote C&C. They are cheap and versatile and piggies LOVE them, especially if you're using fleece :)

much as I already have a wooden hutch and will have to probably go for option 2 for the indoor months for my guys, if I could I would go for c&c anyday. You can make the area as big as you want and fit what size space you have - you cant get better with any comercially made cage.

I guess it depends if theyre inside or out. That big hutch looks fantastic if outside. Inside though I would go with the C&C or equivalent making it as big as you can unless you need it more enclosed for security from other animals etc.

Seems like the majority choose the C&C cages. I will see if I can find the materials next week. Thanks.

I'd go for the hutch. They love being outdoors and having lots of grass. Also looks very spacious for them.

C+C anyday, cheap and you can change layout if you wish. You could always have a run for sunny days, plus winter they will be nice and cosy in the C+C.

Link 3 deffo! You can adapt it to whatever size or style you want. :)

Personally, my pigs live free-range in a shed (18sq ft), but if I could, I would have them inside in a c&c cage. :(

I have indoor piggies and having had shop bought cages and then recently just building them a c&c cage - I definitely think the c&c cage is better for them. And you can make it as big as you want to! My piggies are a million times happier in their new home. :)

I voted for hutch because then the house doesnt smell and they get loadsa fresh air

though c and c is good cause you can adjust it and personalise it:)

Well, really difficult to find the grids here in Spain... and the ones in UK won't deliver here pow-pow but finally found them online. So I am waiting for them to arrive and then will begin my search for the inside!

The first link is more for rabbits or chickens because that ramp is very steep. The second is defiantly NOT sutible! Too high, too steep, too terrible! That's defiantly a ferret cage:<>Third= PERFECT! C&c, indoors, fleece lined. Pig heaven!! Please don't buy the second cage for your pigs as it's very dangerous for their backs and legs, you could set them up on a steep staircase, it wouldn't be much different! And if you choose the first add a ramp tunnel so they don't jump off and it's not as daunting. Plus you might want to extend the ramp so it's not on such a steep angle.
Thanks for reading and happy cage buying!

I would go for the c&c. I have my 2 girls outside in a hutch and would much prefer to have them in the house! If I had my time again, knew what I know now from learning stuff on here I would def go for the 3rd one!

C&C's are great but no for everyone. I like the hutch if they are going to be outdoor living pigs. Although being in Spain it may be cooler for them to house them indoors.

As much as I love the hutch I voted for the c&c cage just because I think it'd be hard to get the piggies out of the hutch and I don't think its the best idea for them to be outside :x
