I currently have one female pig who is older and just adopted a young male (16 weeks old). The plan is get him neutered and house them together. The problem is he was a surprise by my mother as we have been searching for a companion for months. And I was going to adopt a bonded pair off a woman. This pair is a 2 year old neutered boar and a female sow who is 1 year old. So now you see my problem you can't house two males together with sows. How should i go about this? Thanks x

Hmmm if you have not taken in the bonded sow and neutered boar yet, then I wouldn't unless you have the space for three cage set ups. The reason behind the 3 cages is that the young boar you have can't get neutered until he's 6 months old and then he's still got to be kept away from females for another 6 weeks afterwards to make sure he can't impregnate any girls.
He can be kept next door to the sow you want to bond him with for company but make sure he's not going to escape into her cage. Also don't put his cage anyway near the bonded couple as that could cause friction between them.
Good luck with your choices.
