I have just got two baby pigs which i decided i would keep indoors. At the moment they are still very nervous so want them to settle in a little more before doing anything. However i was thinking of maybe getting them a outdoor run for in the daytime and bring them in every night, but then i have also read that they are quite sensitive to changes in temperature so now unsure what would be best for them? If anyone has any suggestions for what i should do please let me know! Thank you!

Hi

it's too cold during the day right now to do that with them. You can buy indoor runs for them, or if you have somewhere safe (no chewable wires etc...) where you can put them for a run round?

I would wait until the spring when the temperature is milder before putting them outside.

:)

Hi. I plan to put mine in outside run too in spring and summer then bring in at night. Will wait for warmer weather though. Claire

It should be fine once the weather gets a little better :) Just bring them in before it gets cold and make sure they have a warm little house to hide in if it gets cold or rains.

If want to put the run on the grass make sure the grass is not wet I know even in spring on a morning it can be damp make sure its warmed up a bit before you let your piggies run on it :))

thank you, thats give me abit more time to get it all sorted! Cannot wait until they have settled in a bit more! They are ever so slowy getting slightly more brave! poor little babies if only they knew I'm not as scary as they think!

I have that problem too with my new piggies! I'm hoping they learn to trust me soon! They seem to spend their floor time hiding in a cereal box! Claire
