i would like to cover the front of the hutch at night time but other than the all over covers ( that i cant find one to fit) i dont know what else to use, once the weather gets really cold the hutch will be put in a shed so dosnt have to be overly warm.
I just wondered if anyone had any amazing idea to share ty

I am in the same boat, at the moment i am pegging some old towels to the hutch, I have a two tier, the bottom half is fully open mesh so must get drafty!
I think due to the wierd measurements of the hutch I may make a cover myself, buy some insulation from B&Q and glue it to some plastic sheeting etc! Apart from that not sure what to do!

yes i have thought about getting some of the plastic table cloth material off the roll and making something, mine is 2 tier but the bottom of mine is same as the top with house and run :)

My piggys live inside but as a child i had outdoor piggys. At night and during winter especially i had old carpet over the front of the hutch using bricks to hold in place top and bottom and over that a waterproof plasyic sheet like you buy to cover trailers etc.

Hi, Welcome

I saw your hutch and think it is great and looks like your guinea's will have a lovely home with you and your family.

I have got some Tarp that will help keep rain/snow/sleet/wind out of the hutch. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330761262...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
This product is very good quality despite being very cheap! (I got green 6ft x 4ft)
As it gets a little colder I will be adding some more layers including and old piece of carpet and maybe bubble wrap for the sides and back. I also have an interior water bottle to stop the water freezing at night http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Inside-hu...et_Supplies_Small_Animals&hash=item3f1c103f3c
I would highly recommend it.
I have also got a Snugglesafe heat pad, which is microwavable which will be very useful on colder nights to keep them warm. The pad stays warm for around 10 hours I have been told.

Good luck with your girls and if you need any more help just post or feel free to PM me too :)

Here are my trio of girls - they do live together (only bonded yesterday!) but have not got a photo all together yet!
