Confession time - currently my two boats are in a ferplast 100 which is only 95-57. It's what they came with but just now they also have an enclosure set up next to the cage so they can pop out when they like.

I'm currently unemployed and so I don't have a lot of money for a new set up but hopefully that will change soon :) but what do I go for when I have the money? I'm intreged by c&c but I wonder how big I can realistically go. Plus fleece/vet bed bedding... Is it a lot of work?

I just know I need to have the space for the boys to be able to get away from each other. They get on great but I want them to be as happy as I can possibly get them to be.

The other thing I had considered was getting some kind of unit and making it into a guinea pig home. I think whatever I do they need to be off the floor.

I know I'm asking lots of questions and am probably not making a lot of sense but thanks in advance

We love c&c and there are a couple of websites that sell it as a kit so all you do is put it together... No need to source the grids and corex separately. We have a 2x5 for our trio, if I went for 4 piggies I would extend to a 2x7.

A 2x4 would be fine for 2 boys but a 2x5 would give them move space, the great thing with c&c is they are easy to interact with the piggies in.

They are (which we have used) http://www.candcguineapigcages.co.uk/

and @kimlou5288 runs http://correxcages.weebly.com/ which is also ace :)

Had a quick google and found this thread from last year regarding units to put c&c on http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/threads/tables-for-c-c.106605/

If you've got no cats or dogs then a c&c set up will be very good for them. We have a cat so ours are in a big run which is actually an outdoor run on a table top. There's loads on ebay & amazon. Here's one that's £29.99:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW...et_Supplies_Small_Animals&hash=item3f174f9dd5

You'll also need some correx or similar for the base but there's lots of sizes available so you can have as large or small as you like, if you get a larger group you can even join 2 together like I did.

Thanks for that!

If you still want a cage even upgrading to the ferplast 120 or 140 should give them all the room they need to be able to spend time together and apart. Try zooplus for cheaper cages

I know a good local correx supplier if you're interested. A girl from my work has family in the sign making business and they charge reasonable prices for 1 sheet.
That would be incredibly handy. Bit worried about cutting the cortex but the other half is an engineer so I may use his skills

We don't currently have any other animals. Well we have a cat that visits but she only visits and she can't come in if we're not there. We do plan on getting a dog in the future though

Buying a bigger cage is always an option but I'm not sure. So many choices!

The ferplast 120 is £49.90 at zooplus just now so you could always sell your current cage and use the money towards a new one.
The choices are endless. I love the look of c&c cages but I've got a cat so that definitely wouldn't work for us

We're lucky in that we have lots of storage space so I'll probably keep this cage incase we ever need a hospital space or similar. But good to know they're so cheap :)

Hence why my correx was incredibly wonky the first few times I tried it :) No one makes rulers big enough!
Also, no need to be ashamed because you're starting off in a small cage, the fact is, you want to make it bigger for them to have more space so that speaks volumes and shows you really care about them.
I started off in a zooplus 100cm cage but thanks to the advice of people on here, the boys now have a much larger living-room dominating beast of a cage :)
