So I have this vet, I have never gone to them before but they are the closets vet so if my piggies get sick I would bring them to that vet.
I mean like an emergency sickness that cant wait 30 minutes (whitch is the drive th the city)
but I am worried (i am a worier i worry for things that might not happen ever or in a couple months lol)
the vet is not like piggy savvy, she said she would treats piggies but she is not exotic
one with mhy cat she gave him a to high amount of aentheisa and he got really sick for like 2 days
he slept and slep and wobbled and puked, not a good sight
but the thing I'm worried about is her like examination room
its basically outside
no AC or like wall
the temperture everyday is most;y 82 degrees witch is super hot
and i just wanted to ask if a piggy could get a heat stroke from that temperature or somethin
I would love to get another vet that is not this one but I called another one and they said they dont treat pigs
but the vet owns her own pig! I will prob just ask her what vet examines her guinea pig...
I also checked the vet list but I dont live in Europe, I live in Mexico where guinea pigs dont have a proper name
or are thought to be rats

Oh that’s such a shame, can you look on the internet to see if you can find a guinea pig treating vet, or ask anyone you know who has guinea pigs who they use?
Otherwise I suppose you may have to go with this vet, at least she is willing to treat for piggies x

Hi!

I am very sorry; in an life and death emergency we have to use any vet we can.

You may find the tips in this guide here helpful to help keep your piggies as cool as possible during their trip so they are as snug and cool for as long as possible in their carrier. They won't suffer a sudden heat stroke at 27 C/80 F but they are going to be somewhat on the uncomfortable side if they are not used to temperates much over 20 C/70F.
The guide contains a chapter on travelling with guinea pigs in hot weather: Travelling with guinea pigs

We have the odd member from Mexico, so I know that finding a decent vet that will see guinea pigs and even knows a bit about them is difficult.
You may find these these links here helpful when dealing especially with emergencies and have a copy with you to check against:

Could you please add your country to your account details (access via clicking on your username on the top bar) so we can always adjust any advice to US brands/active ingredients in medications and make allowance that your vet may not have any/much experience with guinea pigs. this makes your country appear with every post you make and save everybody time. Thank you!

During our heatwave last summer I placed freezer packs wrapped in towels in the cage.
If you do have to make an emergency visit to the vet you could place a wrapped freezer pack in the carrier?

Yes, I believe I could be able to.
We have these cold gel packs in the freezer for my grandma's bad shoulder
So I could use those if something comes up. Thanks!

Lots more hot weather tips in this guide here, from the planned to the improvised (including the freezer bag tip!): Hot weather management and heat strokes

Guinea pigs in hotter climates tend to adapt to some respect but they still struggle with heat waves and are susceptible to sudden cold snaps just the same as in cooler areas.
