Unfortunately I was sectioned under the mental health act yesterday. I arrived at the hospital, it’s 4 hours away from my home though! So I can’t leave and see my babies.

Feeling worried about how they will be while I am gone, Luckily for me my partner is knowledgeable about all the animals needs so I know they are safe and well,
Still missing them like crazy though.
Can’t believe this has happened
I know it’s for my own safety.
Feeling pretty low that I’m so far away from them ☹️

Sorry to hear this. it must be hard, but try and take comfort in the fact that your partner will be taking great care of your piggies, hopefully they can keep you up to date with some photos of them.

You need to concentrate on getting well and taking care of yourself.

Sending a virtual hug

I know you must be missing your piggies but at least you know they are with someone you trust to care for them. Concentrate on getting yourself well.

Maybe your partner can bring you photos/videos of your piggies so that you can see how they are doing.

Sending big hugs. Take care of yourself. ❤️

I know you are missing your piggies but you need to get yourself well that is so important. I like @YvonneBlue's idea of videos of them so you can see how they are. I'll bet they'll miss you too. At least your partner knows how to look after them properly. How is he coping with you being so far away?

Take some time to focus on yourself. Allow your partner to care for the piggies and ask for some photos or videos. I know you miss them but they are in safe hands. Time to take some time for yourself.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I have been in hospital several times for mental health issues and it’s horrible but please remember that you’re in the best place for the time being.

I too missed my piggies and other animals but like you, I was lucky enough that my husband was able to care for the animals for me. He used to FaceTime (video call me) so that I could see them. He would also send me photos. Is that an option for you?

Oh no :( I hope you are feeling better soon. Mental health issues are the worst if you ever need to talk just drop me a PM. Hoping you recover and feel well again soon xx

I can only repeat what others have said and to send you my love and best wishes for your recovery.

^^What FLutterby says

I too can sympathise with mental health issues and have recently had to give up my job because of it. Sending you big hugs and best wishes and hopefully you will be home soon

I too can sympathise - but I have to say that I am ******** mad that mental health is so underfunded that they can't find you a hospital bed less than 4 hours away from home - it's scandalous. How are you supposed to access support from friends and family if you are so far away?

I can only re-iterate that you need to focus on yourself, but animals are such healers and maybe some video phone time will help you keep in touch with how they are doing. Same goes for other family members and friends

Hope you start to feel better soon.

Wishing you a speedy recovery so you can get home with your piggies x.

You have my every sympathy, it wasn't that long ago I was in your shoes. I hope you get the help you need, the mental health system in England isn't fun or easy to navigate. If you ever need to ask questions or anything, give me a PM, I know how lonely it can get being in a ward far from home.
