MooShoo
Junior Guinea Pig
Hello again,
I would like to share a so far successful story on dealing with young boar hormonal phase. It is thanks to this forum I was able to deal with a very noisy and sometime nippy events in my living room.:laluot_32:
It started one day when I returned home from work. I noticed Shoo (brown), who is a couple of weeks older than Moo (black), had been a bit hormonal for the past few months before Moo reached that funny adolescent phase. (they were born around August-September 2011) Shoo is a gentle giant and all he'd been doing was jumping Moo from behind and chasing him around, never in an aggressive manner. BUT when Moo joined the ranks of naughty teenage piggies the "fun" started. It was like someone was constantly jumping on a pair of bagpipes with lots of noise and rearranging the furniture in their enclosure. Two mad pigs running around day and night, chasing each other, nipping, jumping and screaming. Every five minutes there would be a "time out". Both of them would collapse with their paws spread open or lying on their side...and then it would start all over again!mallethead
We were getting worried. My partner had enough of the drama, he was worried about them getting injured and I was worried about them falling out. :{ So I jumped on the forum to read on the issue and pick some brains from the elders (forum folk) And I did find a simple solution to our troubles. Each of my pubertal piggies got their own girlfriend...stuffed one...and here is the result:
Well hellooo beautiful
Ooo yeahh
You're sooo fluffy and soft
Ahhhhh I love you Bluey!
They are both happy with their girls, there is some occasional ruffle here and there but mostly peace on Earth. Thank you forum folk for your wonderful advice! x>>
NB: The blue girlfriends are well known commercial celebrities in Australia (Inner Health Plus bacteria)
regards Moo and Shoo
