Homemade Treats

The best guinea pig treats are things like empty Kitchen Roll tubes cut down the middle stuffed with hay, you can even hide a piece of coriander of parsley in the middle. Piggies love this

I think if you dry some carrot leaves things, parsley, coriander etc... in a oven or a dehydrator it makes the perfect treat. It's just plain forage.
You can also do the same with strawberries or carrots to make dry versions of them. They are all natural, i recommend you stay away from treats that people show on youtube like the ones with oates etc...

I agree. I stay away from those over priced and unhealthy looking 'snacks' you get from PAH and Zooplus with honey and seeds etc. I bought some once but they pretty much ignore them and I would be concerned with flies being attracted to the cages with them in too.

I make my guinea pigs a special salad. It has all the fruits and vegetables they like in it. My guinea pigs enjoy eating carrots, broccoli, apples, and cucumber. I dice/chop everything up in very tiny pieces and mix the ingredients together (I even try to put in things that my guinea pigs don't like to eat, but need to eat) and put them into a bowl. I try to make a lot, but not an overdose. I put the bowl into their cage in the morning so that it's like breakfast. My guinea pigs eat it up in like 20 minutes which is fast. This salad I give them once a week, maybe twice a week! =)
