Homemade Snuggle Sacks!

Thought I would try my hand at some sewing tonight and I managed to make 2 snuggle sacks with the off cuts from cutting out my floor pen shape. Next job is to make a hexagonal liner for the indoors run!

I've bought some fleece and made a tube which stays open by folding it over several times at the top but it really needs some sort of stifner in the opening, what did you use?

You can use interfacing which will help stiffen the seam helping it stay open or corset/dress makers boning works well too. Essentially it's a plastic tape which you can cut to length and sew into place

Thank you that sounds interesting will look for a sewing shop when I go into town

Or you could cut a ring from a plastic bottle and use that as a stiffener to hold it open. Costs nothing from your house recycling! I use that with an old jeans leg wrapped around it as a full tunnel for my piggies.

That's a good idea, will save the next empty bottle and see what I can do.
