I decided to move to fleece bedding after a few things about shavings I didn't like. Including finding a piece stuck in Fudge's bits.

I've made the cage liner for the smaller one and will make it for the other tonight. I want rid of the shavings ready for tomorrow's bin collection so I'll have to work through tiredness.

I found the grey ikea fleece isn't as good at wicking. Yes I washed it 3 times. The £3 aren't bad if a little slow. Hopefully it improves with more washing.

Fudge, in particular, likes climbing into the hay bag. They can get themselves out but I still worry...:mal:IMG_3501.webp

:lol!: I had to click on the pic and make it bigger because I couldn't see your Fudge... and then his grey butt appeared!:))
At least his butt is outside and in the best position for doing poo out of the bag!:D

My recent hay bags I made the holes smaller as mine were also climbing inside them.

I've found the Ikea fleeces wick fine.

Bwahahaa that's a good point @rome_italy :lol!:

I should have made them smaller. It never mind. At least they know how to come out. Guess it's like burrowing into it when I used to heap it in the cage :)

IMG_3504.webp IMG_3507.webp Completely changed over to fleece bedding this morning ...after a late night of sewing the liner for the 120! I made some small ones to go under the wooden hide/bridge as they like to be under there sometimes. I still need to make two more liners and one for the hay tray. And they need some beds as well...such a long list

Just when I think I'm finished with sewing piggy stuff, I add something else to the list. Today I'm finishing the bunting!

I managed two pillows and the liner for their hay tray. They were looking for their triangle hide but eventually gave up. Now I need to stop watching them when I've gone to say goodnight

I also ordered a play pen ready for tomorrow. Their first time out hope they'll like it. I got a box from work they can use as a hide. What do you put on the floor if they're on concrete? Not sure where exactly I'll put them but I'm thinking some vinyl carpet thing we have, though it would need cutting to size. I'll see.

I tried making some this week and even though I measured loads of times? They were too small. Using them as lap blankets instead.

I'm worried that once I do make them, that they will try to burrow underneath them?

Yes mine came out a bit smaller obviously next time I'll cut slot bigger. Pee pads on top cover the small shortfall. I'll keep you posted if they burrow or not x

Not any good at sewing but these hay bags look great! What do you make them out of and what size? I'll try and get. A friend with a sewing machine to Help!

@Diane Owen they look plush! Mine came out a little small as well. The ones i made today are better fitting.
