Homemade bedding?

Hi, I just wanted to know of anyone's thoughts on homemade bedding. I am trying to make ecopetbed cardboard bedding at the moment and I'm going to test it against the actual product. Not sure if it will work, or even if the pigs will like it but I thought it might be worth a try.

Did you get hold of a lot of cardboard then? What are you going to use to cut it? Sounds like a lot of work! :{

We get loads of cardboard from online orders! I just bought my C&C grids and they came packaged with loads of cardboard too. I might just make enough for the loft for the time being! I've just been using strong scissors to cut it and yes it does take quite a while but if it works, it will save me a few pounds so it'll be worth it!

Ooh, my hand is aching at the thought of all that cutting! |) I wonder if it's worth investing in a guillotine. Finacard card is shredded, which seems to make it more absorbent and comfortable than the squares, but you'd need a really hefty shredder to get through cardboard.

Good idea. Yes I do have a guillotine, I never though of using that!
