Yesterday made some homemade bedding out of toilet paper. It looks just like fitch. One toilet paper roll takes around 3-4 minutes to make and it drys in about 3 hours in the sun. It also takes 4 toilet paper rolls to fill their nesting area plus one more to replace the ones I threw out at spot cleaning
Is it worth it to do? It's MUCH cheaper and there is no ink.
I
couldn't upload a picture for some reason....
but I found one on the internet!

It's also for other small animals,
I usually just pick it apart in the water with my hands and that takes around a minute so I don't have to wait an hour :)

I think it would be more expensive. When you factor in buying the toilet rolls then the time it takes to make it and dry it, you would not dry it in the sun in the UK. The only cheap home made bedding is shredded junk mail. But I never use paper as it just becomes soggy (and you never know what chemicals are in the paper).

Toilets rolls would be really expensive for me, i can't imagine how many it would take and cost to make the same amount that comes in a bale of Fitch....

I guess if it's for one hamster it might work out cheaper.

But i need to fill up three 120cm cage a week, so i think i'd bankrupt myself on toilet rolls :))

But thank you for sharing! :)
