Home made pea "cake"

Hi,
I'm baking a sheet of mashed peas and basil at the moment because I saw something similar with hay. Is this OK for my girls to eat this? They were frozen peas to start with but were soft before mashing.
I'm seeing conflicting things about cooking and frozen veg.

No I’m afraid they can’t have it. Piggies cannot eat food which has been frozen or cooked
