i was sorting out the kids clothes the other day and had a great idea for a corner hamock for my guinea pigs which i thought i would share with you all.

i cut the hood off one of my sons old tops, sewed up the edge where i had cut it and sewed a short length of fabric to the 3 corners to use as ties for attaching it to the cage.

my guinea pigs seem to really like it but i think i minght put a flap on the top too to make them feel a bit more secure.

oh I'm so doing that, my areas chavsville, so it wont take me long to find a hoodie!hehe gemx

that is a most excellent idea! I've seen them in Ferret cages...didnt think about cavy's getting in them!

I am afraid i went for the much lazier option of going online seeing loads of stuff i like and want for my piggies and then saw the price, eeek, so i spoke to my boyfriends mum who makes curtains and stuff for a living and she is making me piggy stuff! (did offer to help but i am utterly useless with a sewing machine) Yeah! oh and two new cushions for the sofas in the front room.

I use this for houses to where they can sleep, instead of the wooden houses you can get, cos the take up too much room. I have done what you have done here, but mine are probably twice maybe three times as big. they are a great idea mind

Thats such a good idea!
I can see me raiding my wardrobe later for possible hammock material :))
I saw a hammock on a website and they had a flap at the front so you get a hammock and a tent underneath as well so I might give that a go! I did make some cuddle pouches for my boys when we first had them which I was pleased with but they're getting so big now they hardly fit!
Right I'm off to print off a pic of your hammock to copy :)):))

Yes I just bought my gang the hammocks with a flap and they go down a treat. They don't seem to like being on them just under but they still love them and the popcorning the first day I put them in the cage was priceless. If you can make them all the better!
