Needless to say, the racks have been removed and the hay is now in a big lasagne type dish thing on the floor.

We are going to be having a change around with the C&C cage in a couple of weeks and I was thinking about ways to make a hayrack (that they can't climb into!) with some panels... Has anyone done this already and how did you go about it? I'm thinking about bending a grid panel in half and then having it like a box that they can go under, or have it at an angle so that the bit that you put the hay in is triangular, but for both, I would need to put something against the side otherwise they'll just climb in from there!

Thanks :)p

You can bend a cube to a 90 degree angle and stand it on the floor against a corner so it gives you a square hole to put hay in but it is obviously too high for them to climb in to.

I bend a cube to a 'V' shape, cable tie it to the wall, one end at the corner of the cage so they can't get in that way - the other I made a little 'V' shaped coroplast 'plug' so they can't climb in the other side.

Hope that makes sense!

I didnt even think to turn a bent panel on its side to make a tall one! Thank you :) I think that's what I'll do as solves the side issue!

Brilliant photos, clever piggies! :))

I use the hay columns being described.
Each of my columns are slightly lifted with a correx base so that I can slide newspaper underneath a column full of hay...I can get specific pics of that part if you like.
