I'm going away in April for a week and have managed to get a neighbour to look after my animals at my house whilst i am away. what information will she needs? she has had experience with guinea pigs before.

That’s excellent that you are planning well in advance. Tell them everything. Write it all down. Make sure you have their contact number and they have yours. Leave them your vets number too. Leave plenty of food and everything they will need for the week. Have a lovely holiday. 😃

you she is going to come round many times so the animals get to know her. I'm going to write things down and what they have daily and how much. i am going to go OTT with it but she can get in touch if she needs to also i have a camera in the living room to keep an eye on them (not her).

i might get some containers and make up their portions already and all she needs to do is empty it in their bowl

Smart idea! Great that she will be around. Have her watch your routine or even you watch her do your routine.

The measuring out the food is a really good idea! I presume she will change the bedding/fleece?

Are any of your little ones on medicine that she might have to administer?

When my piggies go off to the Boarders when I'm away, even though I know she has plenty of experience, I still write an "Idiots Guide" for her. How many pellets, what time, what veg they eat, what time etc etc. She knows the number of my vets and which vet I prefer to see. If we go away for just a weekend and I have the neighbour coming in to check on the piggies, I give them an "Idiots Guide" but this time I put pictures of my piggies on it so they know who is who and leave veg in the fridge.
