Planning a holiday soon (yes really :D), and I need seem inspiration - any ideas? It probably has to be in the UK though..

Could do - I haven't been to Cornwall for a few years O0 I've already done quite a lot of the UK so gotta think where I liked.

What sort of things do you enjoy doing clare?
Blackpool is an awesome place, unless you were thinking of visiting somewhere closer?
If so Bournemouth or torquay are fab!

I don't care how far it is from me O0

I like exploring new places to be honest and seeing new things as I love it O0 (it's kinda in my blood)

What kind of things do you like? Like country walks up hills and along loong country lanes, big cities, places to do lots of shopping, sunbathing on the beach?!

What about camping? My hubby suggested this about 3 years ago and i really pulled a face, but we bought a tent and off we went to cornwall and had a brilliant time. We are going back to a campsite in Crockenwell, in Devon this year. Its near Dartmoor so we do plenty of walking, kids love it loads.....and theres still places to visit if you want to drive. :) Scenery is beautiful x

Whenever we go on holiday (havn't for ages though :() we always go camping and it's really fun.

I remember camping with my parents as a child and having a brillaint time they upgraded to a caravan years later but i still lvoed the smell of canvas in the caravan awning,
what about a trip on the Norfolk broads or Butlins/Haven type holiday, and of course where I live the Isle of wight,

I'm trying to decide about a hol in July now - either Dinas in Wales or Charmouth in Dorset by Lyme Regis.

Just been to Wimborne Minster in Dorset - wonderful week I love weeks self catering in UK :)

We are limited to about a 4 hour drive from Midlands with Jed as hes not as good in the car these days.....

We loved Aberdovey last summer, have spent many weeks on Yorkshire coast in the Whitby area or inland - Pickering area.

Never been camping - always book doggy friendly places self catering :)

So my vote would be for Dorset, Yorkshire coast or Wales :D

I'd say Devon, South Devon. Thats where we're off to this year again :) We'll be staying halfway between Goodrington and Brixham

We are on a return visit to Wimborne this summer. It is a beautiful part of the country (my sister in law lives in Poole, so we visit Dorset quite often) with lots to do for all age ranges.

Yorkshire is great too. I would love to go back to Cornwall again but can't face all the travel from our part of the country.

Wimborne is a nice town - loved the model village and shops there and the market - great bargins!

We stayed in a doggy friendly bungalow on the Colehill estate :)

Same here clare :)
Blackpool would be perfect because it has a beach, many touristy stores, a tower , amusement park etc. If you went there you wouldnt be too far from me :D It really is good there though.

Actually we are considering going back to Yorkshire again. Last Summer we stayed between Scarborough and Filey. This time we might try nearer Ripon way. We also enjoyed a holiday near York a few years ago.

You could venture to Whitby and see me :) ;D

I went to the Lakes last weekend and it was beautiful.

I can also strongly recommend York and surrounding areas too. The moors and the dales are great (especially if you love Heartbeat and the Royal!)

What about Northumberland, great coastline, lots of things to see and visit and you've got Newcastle on your doorstep if you get sick of the outdoors!
