His fur looks a mess, there is Ludo with his long sleek locks and Hoggle is all patchy. :( Don't get me wrong, he is still a stunner but his hair just isn't as nice as it was.

Is this a form of bullying or is it normal?
 
It is normal, and barbered guinea pigs don't seem to mind it!

PS: Cariad arrived here with a piggy "haircut" as well and says she won't drop him! :))
 
Oh yes, I didn't realise he could be feeling a bit embarrassed infront of his new GF! :))

Well as long as it is normal, that is ok, and it saves me a stressful job! :(|)

They do know when to stop though don't they? I don't want him looking like a plucked chicken! :...

AWWW don't know how I would be if that happened here.

I do think he did a good job though, I chopped the peruvians here today and they look much worse!

Ahhh Hoggle just did a big yawn and now he is snuggled on his arm chair falling asleep. :)
 
Its amazing how there little minds work....do you think their mates go "Tomorrow I'm going to give you a haircut mate?" or do you reckon the GP ask's for it "Here, don't suppose you could give me a short back and sides?".

I'm amazed its not dangerous for them to do it considering its dangerous or most animals to eat large amounts of hair.
 
I have a barber but not been able to work out for certain who is doing it or why. It's definietly not for lack of hay and it's newbies who get it the worst so I suspect it's dominance, especially as Poppy (a very dominant girl) and Anya (a very timid girl) are the only 2 long hairs in Handbag Hall never to have been barbered. Poor Dexter is the one getting the worst at the moment. It doesn't seem to annoy any of the piggys but I really miss grooming them (that's how short some of them were shorn) and would like to get the barbering stopped. I'm tempted to try bitter apple spray but not sure if it really works?
 
The more I think about it, I am getting angry. Ludo has such beautiful long, same length hair and Hoggle looks all short, I bought a coronet, I want a coronet! Naughty Ludo! :0
 
LOL@Ludo! Maggie-May says "that's my boy!"! We think Ruby's our barber, she is top pig and I actually saw her chew the fur from Maggie's chin, leaving her with an unusual bold spot rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes The amazing thing is that Maggie-May just let Ruby do it! Ruby often cuts Bethany's hair short apart from a tuft on the top of her head resulting in Bethany looking a bit like Rod Stewart! She must like that look.... I think Ludo has done it on purpose to look nicer so Hoggle won't steal Maggie May but he wouldn't anyway, he is devoted to Cariad. :)

I really hope this isn't a permanent arrangement for Ludo or I will separate them until his fur grows back!

Yes in a way it is cute because he has left him with a big lions mane! :))
