Hi, I just got my new guinea pigs (Lune and Six ) today, I'm smitten already!

I have little wood houses for them to hide in and Six has got the idea straight away and established one of them as his right from the get go. Lune, however, doesn't seem to be very good at hiding, preferring to clamber on top, rather than go in! He popped into one of the houses to retrieve some food, but ran straight out again. I wonder if it was because it is too low?

So...
I was looking for other options and found these adorable tents

...does anyone else use/have them? What do they think?

I had one similar but when i washed it in the machine it stayed open and wore round the edge's, try looking at audio heart's cosie's she does lots of fleece toy's and pyramid bed's might be just what you are looking for

:(|) I have these but rarely use them as my piggies tend to use them as toilets :( They're good hidey places and have little sheepskin bases that you can remove and wash, I just seemed to be scrubbing them out all the time so have put them to one side for playtime outside :)

These little tents are so cheap and my little Daisy loves them, BUT if her bum gets any bigger she won't be able to fit in it!
Perfect for younger pigs i think :))

Misty has one and really likes it - but you do have to keep an eye as she has chewed it! We wash it out with a blast from the hose which keeps it clean and fresh (obviously when she is not in it!) and I gave up on their base for a fleece/towel combo instead.

My boys both love their tent, but they too use it as toilet! So I just use it for playtime, I still put newpaper between the fleecey bit and the tent because it gets messy, but it never fails to make them popcorn!
I've got a wooden house in their cage too but they're almost too big to get in, they spend most of their time on top of it eating from te conveniently placed hay rack :-)
I've got a fleece corner hammock from pimpmypiggy, it works quite well (as a hidey, they don't use it as a hammock) as it's easy for them to run in and out of, imagine it will be quite cosy in the winter.

mine love it, but also use it as a toilet! So I use it rarely now. it gets stinky pretty quickly, and they love going under the pull out sheepskin bit and weeing there, so it stays wet sometimes.

It's quite funny sometimes though because Wogie likes to lie inside and Chilli likes to go right under the tent (on the outside while Wogie is inside) if that makes any sense! First time she did that, I couldn't figure out where she was and thought she'd escaped, major panic lol

Hello Six and Lune,
Are you adjusting to your new home alright?
I have new had one of those tents before so I don't really know anything about them apart of they look a tad small.
From Guineagurl, Sweet Pea, Ninja, Daisy, Smokey and Pete!

check the size though - I got one from petshop and its only suitable for baby guinea pigs - make sure its larger one :))

Thanks!

Thanks so much for your thoughts and advice everyone.

They don't cost very much so I'll try one, but I am soooo in love with AudioHeart's cuddle cups! Defininitely getting a pair of those for Six and Lune, they're absolutely adorable!
