Hideaways? Unhappy with current layout.

I've had my guinea pigs since October now and I'm not really happy with the current set up.

I have the biggest of the bendy playsticks from p@h as a hideaway at one end, a tunnel down the side which ends under a hammock and next to that is their litter tray.

I was wondering what everyone here uses as hideaways?

I want something that creates an extra level. I have the ferplast 120 and dont have the shelf it came with in there as I cant find a suitable ramp.

Any suggestions for what i can do?

You can get small plastic steps for little kids, for like £1 and just put a small bit of fabric over it for a hidey or i used an old paper sorter and put a bit of correx cable tied for make a floor, then they just jumped up and down

A cardboard wine box is a favourite with my lot, you can hide in it and eat it!

i've got one, don't know what you think about having it in the cage, i've got mine in the hutch but the pigs really love it. i usually find two of them tucked up in there. the only thing is the width of it, with the steps added it's pretty wide so i'd check that x

mine like a cardboard wine box too, they sit in it for ages nibbling away at it
