My hubby that is!

We are putting 6 guineas together today in C&C. You may have seen our previous set up. We don't have much floor space so we have a 2 x 3 grid cage over 3 floors. Today it's becomming a 2 x 4 cage with 3 floors. It's HUGE! The correx isn't done yet but as soon as we're sorted photos to follow!

Hubby has gotten creative with supports so photos of them once they are sorted.

YAY going to be fun later putting them in their new pad.

Okay it looks very similar to our old one but it's got so much space. They tear about running like crazy!

The floor of the middle floor was bowing a bit as the whole structure is so heavy plus we have flap doors on the side of the middle and bottom floor. So he sawed off the length of a grid twice and they are in there to support the structure. It's an engineering feat apparantly. I am just pleased he's done it as it's not something I could manage myself. They love it.

Never would have thought I would want such a large structure in my home a few months ago but being a piggy slave now it seems fitting!

So is hubby available for hire :))

Only joking hun, that is a lovely home for your piggies

Hey if the price is right he could pimp yo cage hee hee:)):)):)):))

i am coming back as a piggie in my next life if i can get to live in a place like that well done hubby pat on the back

It takes about 40 minutes to clean it from top to bottom. The top opens up and I just take the fleece and towels out and shake into a compost bin. Then each floor the whole of a side opens so you can slide the correx floors out completely. Then I do the same as the top take the fleece and towels and shake into compost bin. Hoover each floor out and clean with water / white vinegar solution. Wipe with clean cloth and put back together.

I had a 2 storey smaller one before and it's no extra effort really.

I try and move stuff around every 2 cleans or so to mix it up a bit for them. And I give various different treats hidden about the different floors (usually those excell cigar shaped treats cut in half) so when they go back in there is loads to find and do. They run about for ages when they all go back in.

It's very imposing in our room that's for sure but it's so much space for them.
