I do some short term fostering for the Potteries GPR as well as helping out with some fundraising events. The Potteries GPR is full to bursting at the moment. Just before Xmas two emergency intakes involved 2 traumatised piggies left abandoned in a rented property and 2 single piggies and a rabbit in very poor condition. All have needed vet treatment and the rescue already had a number of piggies recovering from surgery or awaiting surgery. The vets bills are huge and have pretty much exhausted the funds raised before Christmas. There are 30 piggies currently in the rescue's care.
