How do I set a semi-formal dinner table?
I have to do an assignment for 'school'... I'm inviting 5 guests and i have to make a 3 course meal for them, i have to buy the ingredients, prepare and clean up.. I'm searching the net for tips about semi-formal table settings and theres nothing ;D

Formal is where you have glasses for each wine + a water glass and zillions of knives and forks of varying sizes.

Therefore Semi formal must be kind of like in the pic.

A nice glass, knife and fork. Cutlery for the starter. Napkin and a nice centre piece
 
yep, i'd say the same as Billies Mum. What are you planning to do for your 3 course meal? :)
 
I have no idea ;D

I have to do entree, main and desert...
I was thinking somthing to do with icecream for desert but no idea for the others... lol
 
Do you get the super food ideas mags from the supermarket, cause they've got great easy recipes and not expensive usually to make. Have a look they're in both Safeway and Coles :) :) :) :)
 
Mum has a few cookbooks and i think we have a few of the magazines lying around :) ill have to have a look!
Also for extracredit I can design and make a centre piece! so I'm doodling some ideas now :)
 
just throw some plastic knives and forks etc down,nip off to maccy d's and say "GRUB UP! "
 
.....or one of those 'Mum's night off' buckets from KFC where you get the paper plates etc with it, sorts out the clearing up afterwards....

we always laugh when they say " mums night off bucket" it sounds kinda wrong ;D ;D ;D

Can just see you handing in your assignment, with a piccie of KFC on the front and then trying to list the ingredients ... 'secret ingredients...' ;D ;D ;D
