My crazy piggies have a little shelf that has a hole in it and I sit their food over that hole.I did have their hay cubes there but i moved them and put there food there to see if they would knock it over to and they do.What can I do to make them stop knocking it over.I am at my wits end with them.I have no clue why they do it.
 
I'm a little confused,do they have it in a bowl in the shelf? if so ceramic bowls are great to stop them knocking them over,the reason they are doing it is because they are piggies and i dont think they are doing it intentionally xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
 
Use a bigger ceramic bowl; the small plastic ones are not designed to deal with a piggie's weight and flip over easily.
 
I have heavy ceramic rabbit bowls are un-tippable. They have them at home bargains for about 59p - 99p depending on the store. If you don't have a homebargains they are about £2 at wilkinsons or they do heavy cat bowls of a similuar size which I use also for £1.50 at b&M bargains!
 
To stop it being knocked over food would best be on the floor of the cage in a heavy bowl. Or you can use a bird bowl which screws to the wire of the cage. I wonder why you use hay cubes instead of loose hay for the pigs to burrow in and eat?

hay cubes can be much easier,for some people as they take up less room that they may not have for a huge lot of hay,and I'm sure it makes alot less mess,the piggies may very well be bedded on fleece instead of hay,as long as they have it to eat they are fine xx

I know the one you mean! I have that one aswell...they are really good arent they.

My girls got them when it was the males birthday (cant leave them out after all x)).

I was wondering about the hay cubes aswell, I find hay cookies make a hugeeee mess. And hay isnt just for munching its also every pigs favourite pass time and toy.

Aww if they are yoir piggies, they are soooo cute :) Yes, it;s the one on the right that mine have x)
 
They also get regular hay too.They go under the level and push the bowls up knocking them over the seem to think it is a game.
