My 3 piggies ( neutered boar and two sows) are currently living in a double ferplast 120 cage.

My hubby has said I can have a C&C cage BUT it must fit where the ferplast cage currently is as that's the only space available indoors.

I obviously know that a single 120cm cage is too small for 3 but what about a 120cm with loft (I assume this would be 4 grids by 2 grids?) ideally, I would want a cage that includes everything including the corex, ramp and loft but looking on eBay at C&C cages, I don't have a clue! Can anyone help me please?

@Flutterby @Wiebke @helen105281 @pig in the city @VickiA and anyone else who has a C&C cage

I feel a 4x2 would probably be a bit too small for your trio. The loft area doesn’t make any difference, it’s only the main floor area which is taken into consideration, sorry hun x

What size is the area you have got? Am I right in thinking it is 120cm x120cm?
If that is the case, you could have a 3.5x3.5(ish) grid setup. This equates to an area of about 15 square feet. This is about the same as a 2x5.5 setup which I’d say is ok for you piggies :) Sorry If I have lost you with the jargon! :)) Do you think you could push for a 4x3? That would be great! :yahoo::D x

I tend to agree with Tim that a 2 x 4 might be a bit small for 3 piggies.
Plus some piggies love lofts (3 of mine do) and some don't (that would be Ruby then :roll:)
But the beauty of a C&C is that you can make it fit pretty much any size you have by overlapping grids, so you aren't tied to a fixed size.
Do you know the exact measurements of the space you have?

And don't be put off - it can seem daunting, but C&C's are fantastic - well done to hubby for saying yes :nod:

Thank you both. Yes, the ferplast is 120cm

I'd love to be able to give them a 5 by 2 but it wouldn't fit in the space :( Ill measure the area and it looks like I'm going to need to rethink this as it may not work

I have to agree with the others, sadly lofts can't be counted. Is there any way you could change around the room to create a touch more space?

Remember you can also have an L shape to fit into a corner.
That's what I ended up doing with mine to give them more space, because DH said we had to keep at least one sofa in the living room. :roll:

Would the desk fit on the wall with the window an radiators to give you a little more space?

What about putting the desk where the cage is now. You'll have space to make an L-shape cage or a large square where the desk is now. You just can't open the door while your husband is sitting at the desk. Maybe remove the door, just an idea.

the minimum size for 3 piggies in feet is 5 feet x 2 feet ! Maybe put your husbands desk under the window ! which may give you more room along the wall the current cage is.it is difficult for you.x
