So I’ve now got my sisters 2 boys at my flat so their outside hutches are now pretty redundant. My sis has got somebody who wants the buy the Chartwell 6ft double storey hutch that the boys use to live in, but they also have a smaller 4ft hutch that was bought before she and her husband realised it was too small (very very similar to the pics attached)
Anyways, I have a friend who wants it buuuuuut he needs it to be 2 seperate levels (no ramp between the 2) for his dwarf bunnies. The hutch has moulded plastic floors that pull out like a drawer. The bottom is a whole floor but obviously the top one has a big area cut out to accomodate the ramp.
So down to the question... does anyone have any ideas where we can buy a replacement drawer/floor? I’ve tried looking online but I’m drawing a blank. Otherwise I think we’re gonna have to try to build a whole new floor but that wouldn’t have the plastic on it.

Any help/advice gratefully appreciated!
Thank you lovely people ❤️

Hopefully someone with experience will be along soon. It may be worth using the search function in the top right and corner of the forum however for ideas on Older threads

Just nail, screw or glue a bit of the wood over the hole, no need to replace the whole floor.

However, it is far far too small for dwarf rabbits.

I tend to agree - you could just add a new floor on top of the old one - most DIY stores will cut a piece of wood to size for you.
You could then cover it with lino to protect it from urine.

But this hutch is much too small for any rabbits, so before you convert it please do some research on a more appropriate size space for them.

It’s not for me. My friend has 2 dwarf bunnies, a boy and a girl. They’re currently in a similar sized hutch that was bought as 2 separate levels (the boy bunny isnt fixed so he wants to keep them separate) The buns had another hutch joined to the side so they had 8ft each of running space. But one of the hutches is looking worse for wear and has started to get a bit of a leak so he unattached it. But obviously just the 4ft cage on it’s own isn’t big enough so when I mentioned my sis is getting rid of this one he jumped!

We just weren’t sure how to block the ramp part because the floor is a wood frame with a solid moulded plastic floor so we can’t screw anything into the plastic or it will shatter. We thought it would be easy to get a replacement full sized floor but apparently not ❤️
