hi everyone i am trying to find what i need to build a c&c but all the petshops and hardware stores have never heard of this where can i get the materials and instructions on how to build one safely?

hi i might get my OH to read this I am really not good at understanding it lol, thanx so much for the info i must seem silly not knowing much about them although the truth is all most people i talk to here say is get a cage or a hutch, just today i went to a petstore because i didnt know where to try and not only did i see piggys not in the best conditions, but the petshop manager looked at me like i made up the whole c&c idea they didnt believe me because they think being in the pet business they know more anyways thans againxx>>>

the c&c grids can be got at B&Q - diy stores or office equipment stores not sold for guinea pigs really.
they are a storage system laid on its side, to make up the cages.

I dont know where you would get them because you're in Australia but maybe try ebay?

Just bought my grids from ebay last night. Wish I could have found them around here because the shipping was quite pricey, the only thing I can figure is they must be kinda heavy.

you are basically searching for something like that ^
here in the states they mainly sell them as shelves or organizers, but I don't know about Australia.

The grids are made for shelving so noone will know what you mean if you ask for anything piggie related you should be able to get them from a DIY store and just ask for cub shelving. The other part is chloroplast (hard plastic sheets) which you can get from a sign makers. the first c stands for cubes and second for chloroplast. So it is a cube & chloroplast cage!

hi guys i looked at every place possible for the cubs i looked at all hardware stores, target, kmart, homeware shops, and everything else along those lines and had no luck so i went and brought a nero4 today works a treat but still need cubes to build run i will just buy off ebay i think thanks for all the helpxx>>>

Do you have a Bunnings near you? If you haven't already tried them, give them a quick ring and see if they stock the Grid Storage System :) They certainly did up until recently by the looks of it <fingers crossed>

thanx heaps yes i have two bunnings near me that is the only place i didnt get to today will try them tomorrow thanks heaps

No probs :) I know how tricky it can be to hunt these things down!

Hey, how about the Reject Shop? Aparently they sell packs of 24 grids for $30.00

Wow! Good Find! Now why don't we have one of those places in the Uk? And if we do where is it hiding? rolleyes

seriously! One in the US would be nice too!

Unfortunately, it seems like at least here in the States it is getting more and more difficult to find the grids.
