Me and my partner have had 2 females now for a little over a week, one is a long hair and the other a short (smooth). Mo, the longhaired (abyssinian) guinea is very shy compared to Lou the shorthaired, although they seem to be getting along fine, mo has been continuously rumbling since the day we got them. Now I've seen this could be due to mo being in season but have also read that this only lasts for 1 maybe 2 days, this however has been 7 now. Is this a dominance behavioural display or something we need to keep an eye on, whenever she is rumbling, she seems to make a bee line for little Lou (she is about half mo's size). Any help would be brilliant as we are new to the little piggies!

Hi welcome to you both and your little ones to the forum :)
Sounds like dominance just from what you've said.......... my girls went thru that too.....my girls are sisters and one gave the other a shocking time for a few weeks... ?/
I'll pop some links on for you which may help.
I do hope you can put some pigtures on of the girls for us all to drool at!
Please feel welcome to join in the chatter at anytime too
