I have two female pigs in one cage, and a male in the other. One of the females just had a litter of three babies. Two of the babies are male, and one is female.

My question is this: can I put the two boys in with their dad after they are weaned, or will having three males in a cage cause a fight?

Long term, it is very likely three boars will fight. However if you are looking move them in at 3 weeks (baby boars must be removed at 3 weeks as they become fertile then -yep. that young) and keep them with dad untill they are 6 weeks and 400g (ie ready to be rehomed) then that is an option. Alternativly you could keep the two babies as a pair and have dad neutered by a cavvy savvy vet.

Is your other female pregnant/possibly pregnant? If so, it might be best to wait and see what her litter is before making hard and fast decisions.

How did they come to be pregnant? :)

And ofcourse, hello and welcome to the forum! :)

Thank you so much for your response! Yes, the other female is pregnant, and she'll have her babies pretty soon... When we adopted the third adult pig, the shelter told us he was a female, and we didn't know how to check... Needless to say, we do now. :) I think we'll put the babies with their dad until the new litter is born, and start searching for friends that want some pigs... If one more well meaning person suggest "selling them to the pet store," I'm going to scream. That is the worst idea I've ever heard.
