Hi
My 3 pigs are normally outdoor pigs and I'm really excited that I'm now able to bring them indoors due to moving and there being more space. I've purchased my 6x2 c&c and my cage liners.

HOWEVER, as the 6x2 liners are massive I am concerned that they are going to break my 8kg washing machine as they will be so heavy when they are wet! Have any of you washed 6x2 in your machine and how was it? I don't really want to be going to the laundrette Thanks!

I was a 6x2 liner together with a few other fleece bits and pieces in my machine all the time, and have never had a problem.
They do look huge when they first arrive, but because they are made of fleece with an absorbent, lightweight core, they actually aren't ridiculously heavy when they are wet.
In fact I personally think a load of wet bath towels is heavier!
My top tip would be to get a Horsewear wash bag (if you don't have one already).
I pop all my fleece bits inside before I fling them in the machine and it has really stopped the machine getting filled with hair and stray bits of hay.

ive 2 cages that have 6x2 liners and i put liners into machine every 3 days and my machine is only 5kgs! horse bag is a life saver, stops pipes/filters getting block.Avoiding expensive plumbing bills !

How about having two smaller liners instead of one big one? Or as well as because you clearly have a full length liner already.

A six by two c and c cage sounds wonderful. Would love to see some pics.

That's a good idea I haven't thought of that! I'll put some pics up when everything is sorted and the pigs are all moved in
