I have a Nero4 and would like to install a mezzanine floor in it but I can quite get my head around what to do and how to do it...

Has anyone managed that in that type of cage? If so, can you give me some tips, please...

That was our solution for our nero cage (you could make a box out of correx for the top, if necessary); it fits in at the height of the rim and provides full floor access below:

I use the wood log tunnel as a divider to keep squabbling to a minimum.

When we had Bertie and rene, we used to have ahouse made from a wine box, the divide was the from of an old Log Cabin so they could use the door and window to go from one side to the other. Unfortunately, it was too high for them to jump on and I didn't have the facility or material to make a ramp at the time... It was by far the house they preferred and it took less space than plastic pigloos.

Here's mine

I have used mesh grids for the floor attached by cable ties to the bars. BUT you could use a cooling rack.

Then the box / ramp is made out of correx and the ramp is lined with roofing felt.

I did this to my indoor cage. I used 2 grids for the "upper floor" & bent another for a step :)

The "upper floor" - cable-tied together & to the bars of the cage

The step - bent & cable-tied to the cage bars

And both covered - fleece/vetbed/towel held on with bulldog clips

Lastly one of Haggis when he lived in the cage, on his "upper floor" :))

You can always use leftover grids to create a run or keep them from a difficult place - like we do with our bookshelf.
