Hey, guys!

I have a 4 weeks old guinea pig and I'm having some trouble sexing him/her. I tried following the Illustrated Sexing Guide (thank you very much for it and for this space! I bet I'll be here a lot xD), but I'm still not sure about it. To top it off, I also asked two different breeders and they had different opinions. I'm inclined to believe it's a sow, the genitalia area is very Y shaped and no penis comes out when I press right above the area, but I've read it's somewhat common if it's such a young baby. What makes me doubt this is the little button right above the ridge. It would be awesome if you guys could give me some help.

Thanks in advance! Here are some photos (and a video, if I manage to upload it):

P.S.: Not a native english speaker, sorry for any mistakes!
P.S.2: Was only able to upload images through media, not sure why. Sorry for that too!

You need to check for the presence/absence of a fleshy seal just inside the slit. And the presence/absence of a penis ridge above the slit- where your finger was.

Does your guinea pig live on their own?

I believe I found this flashy seal! Also, another breeder just told me he too believes it's a female.

One of the reasons I was trying to determine it's sex was so I could bring home another pig of the same sex, as I've read guinea pigs do best in pairs or trios. I'm reading now on introduction techniques. Thank you very much for your help! :)

Trios can lead to an outsider situation so I’d say a pair for now. Please double check the sex of the companion before bringing them home.
