and I am not sure what to expect. There is a lot of teeth chattering. A lot of rumble-strutting (on his part - he's neutered). But the girls seem unhappy...unless he is not rumble-strutting around.:{

did you just put him in their cage? or introduce on neutral territory?

They've been introduced before. But basically i washed the cage and put them together.

There are a lot of stickies on introducing guinea pigs. You can try providing neutral space (such as somewhere they've never been) with lots of hay and veggies to distract them. A little teeth chattering, sniffing, chasing, and rumbling is normal. You can also have a "bonding bath" by putting them all in a bath at once so they'll huddle and bond that way. Or you could start by putting a storage cube in between the sows and boar so that they can get used to his presence. Hope I helped :)

You have to have them bonded and happy outside the cage before putting him in their cage. It looks to them like he has just invaded it.

How long has he been neutered?

Keep a close eye on them, it may be worth scattering lots of food about to keep them occupied in other ways?
