My girls have started eating the edges of their hutch! I give them loads of hay to keep their teeth down so is it out of boredom? I havent been able to get them out for a couple of days because of the rain and plus their run doesnt have a top so i have to keep an eye on them because of the neighbours cats which can be a bit inconvienient sometimes.

They have managed to take a good chunk out of the partition bit where their sleeping quarters meet the open part, not really sure how to stop them doing it? Should i get them some toys to keep them occupied? I have a couple of different sized tubes with hay stuffed in but should i get something more?

Just thinking while I'm typing, maybe i should get them into the kitchen for a run around everyday while the weathers miserable? Any thoughts?

Mine just love hutch! They have lots of all the things that they should have lots of, but still they love hutch! lol x

Hut and hutch nibbling is normal!

If you can, get them an apple or pear tree twig to nibble on or divert them with toilet rolls or similar stuffed with goodies. Cardboard boxes, like soap boxes, are another thing they can vent their destructive energy on! But they will still keep on gnawing on your separation...

Mine tend to go for the carpet fringes, which drives my hubby mad!

More hutch nibblers here too I am afraid!:)) Curly and Herbie had only been in their new abode for a day and Herbie set about trying to destroy the main living/bedroom divider!

It doesn't seem to matter how many things I put in to distract them, some pigs just love hutch chewing!

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about ramps, now that's another story! Mind you, some of my girls are just as bad with correx, I have some very interestingly shaped pieces!:))

LOL it seems mine arnt the only naughty piggies then! :)) As long as its just because they cant help themselves I'm happy. I thought it was because they might be bored or something, i have myself some nibblers obviously :(|)
