About a month ago I had to remove a boar from the main cage. He's about 6-8 months old. He was fighting with my dominate male pig and would not stop mounting and chasing around the other two. ( 4 total)
Now he is caged separate but next to the other pigs. He will throw a tantrum, screaming, grunting, chewing on cage trying to climb the cage, exc. Until he is tired and sleeps then has another go. I have tried removing the cage and placing him away from the group so he cant see them. He does the same. When he is allowed outside his cage to roam around and get exercise he just tries everything in this power to get into the main cage and will freak out. He can't be left alone with any of my pigs because he will hassle them to no end.
When they go outside for play time the boar dug his way under the cage dividers to get to the other pigs!
Will neutering him work to calm him? I'm ready to try anything. I feel so bad for having him by himself. But he draws blood with the biggest male.
