Hi so I've decided to ditch the shed idea and go for a bigger indoor cage I hate the current cage(skyline maxi xxl) there is no room for toys at all and the pigs don't seem very happy in it. So I was thinking an "L" shape c&c I want it along the side of my bed (6ft) and the smaller part will be at the side of my desk(whole space is 56") so a 2 x 6 with a 2 x 2 Extension if that makes sense. I don't want to use correx as it's very expensive and I want it on some sort of table so I can put my rabbits litter tray under and storage under. Thanks for any replies. Here is the space:

I used PVC fabric under my cage, I got it from The Range for 2.99 a meter but you should be able to get it that cheap from loads of places. I just pinned it to the edge of the table and then sat the cage on top

I'll have a look in some shops for it at the weekend. What table do you use for the c&c cage?

I use a "folding craft/ banquet table" on a 6ft table you fit a 5x2 cage. I use a wire base under my cage. Then the corex on top. I have both my cages on these tables. One table folds In the middle and the other doesn't fold (just the legs fold in.) the one that doesn't fold in the middle seems like a slightly wider table. (You may not need a base under your cage if u get a wider table.)

My parents have that table but won't let me use it I checked amazon it would cost around €60. I found a pic of what I want on google(not mine I hope it's ok to post) I'd like it exactly like that but I'd like the table to be a little bit higher(height of top of my mattress so I can see the piggies when I'm in bed. I'd prefer not to use correx.

That looks like a great cage set up. There must be other kinds of tables that you can use.

That's what I would love and I can accomodate a cage of that size,I can't make it any bigger. I was thinking a custom plywood table with Lino on top,but I don't know who could build it for me without spending a fortune. Do I need high sides? I'm using fleece now but I'm thinking about changing to vetbed.

Depends on your idea of "a fortune" but I wonder if "Kallax" from Ikea would make a good base, lay it down on its side, you might get a bit of overhang so you may need a board, but then you would also have storage underneath it too rather than dead space...

To be honest,I'd rather spend no more than €100 but I have a few cages to sell a rabbit playpen(4 x 4 x 4) the piggies current cage and a bird cage(I still have all of the animals,I just upgraded most cages from when I first got them) Ikea is 2 1/2 hours away, but mum was talking about going next week so might be an option. I like to have things with storage underneath rather than just wasting space on the floor.

:D I have heard that some people are using old book cases laid on their backs as cages. If you get one that has veneer, then you would only need to seal up the cracks to waterproof it.

That's an idea I like! I'll have a look on ikea now! I would like the L shape c&c I have space for the one in the picture above but nothing more and I plan on putting a litter tray for a rabbit under there and storage.
