Hiya all,

I need a quick answer to my question so if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated!

my piggys came from my parent's who didn't have time for them. They were kept outdoors. They came to me a couple of months ago and have been indoors since. When the weather is nicer I have a hutch outdoors for them all ready.

I have put them outdoors in their hutch/run today as the weather is so lovely and sunny. Their hutch is warm as sun is on it. I have plenty of places they can hide in and have separate area which is completely shaded so they do not get too much heat/sun.

My question is how long do I leave them out for, they are p[erfectly happy charging around and eating grass. I intend on bringing them in again when the sun goes in and temp drops but I have read alot about them not adapting to changes in temp too well and want to make sure they don't stay out too long!

Thanks guys! xx>>>

I am not too sure, as my pigs are all indoor pigs, but I would say as long as the weather is nice outside they should be fine.
Bring them in well before the temps start cooling down in the late afternoon.

My pigs are indoor but for the last few days its been like a sun trap on my patio so my lot has had some out door time, although not on our grass yet as it was too damp.
I always bring them back in if I get chilly, because if I am starting to feel the cold then they will too. They had about 2 hours outside today, but then the clouds built up and blocked the sun, and the temp dropped so I brought them back in.

Hello i have indoor boys and was going to move them back to their out door hutch again but i no longer want to do this but my vet advised doing it gradually so may half an hour too an hour then longer the next day and so on it may be quite the shock just to pop them outside when they have been used to a nice warm house. good luck
