I noticed today that my pig didn't eat her regular vegetables today. She really likes the lettuce, but she did not eat it today. Also, her poops are not strong they are like jelly so I guess it is connected with it. She is only 2 years old and this type of thing happens for the first time. Before u say to take her to the vet, let me say that in my country the vets are not well at Guinea pigs. I am so worried

Oh and also, recently O bought her a mineral stone or whatever that's called. So, maybe it is because of that minerals?

Veg isn’t the most important thing in their diet, hay is. How have her weekly weight checks been up to now?

As you’re worried, I would start weighing her once a day (mornings). If she is losing weight (an eating enough hay) then you will need to step in and syringe feed her. If you don’t have recovery h food then you can give her mushed pellets. If she has a healthy companion you could also give her poop soup.

Poo output is 1-2 days behind so is more an indicator of what was happening then in terms of hay intake.

As for the mineral stone, please remove it. It doesn’t help them and is of no benefit to them.

Hope she feels better soon.

Yeah I removed it but she did not eat like a lot of it just a little bit, is it dangerous already?

Noo unfortunately she's not eating hay that much, but she have special food for Guinea pigs so besides veggies she also eats that food.

Have you been weighing her regularly since you got her? This is really important and can help let you know in advance if there are any issues.

Unfortunately pellets and veg make up the smaller part of their diet and so are not enough. They need hay for the fibre and to help their guts. Could you try a different hay? I don’t how available different types are in Armenia but no harm in trying. She really does need to be eating hay. 🤞was she not eating hay where you got her from either?

How about a friend for her, does she have one?

Hi

Please be aware that over three quarters of the daily food intake should be hay/fresh grass fibre and veg, pellets and any treats together only replace the supplementary role of wild forage. You cannot control the hay intake just by eye.
If your piggy is not eating their veg, please switch from the usual once weekly weigh-in to weighing on your kitchen scales first thing in the morning for best day-to-day comparison and ,if needed, please step in with feeding support and see a vet if the poos are not firming up noticeably within a day or two.
Keep in mind that it takes 1-2 days for any food to pass from one end of the body to the other, so while the poos will tell you that you are dealing with a bit of a tummy upset. Take your piggy off any fresh food until at least 48 hours after the poos have normalised again.

PS: Guinea pigs on a normal good hay based diet usually ignore mineral stones because they do not need them in my own experience.

She needs to be eating hay and if she isn’t you need to step in with syringe feeding her as per all the information that has been linked in above. This is so important that you do that

It’s not likely to be because of it. They don’t need mineral stones. You must step in with syringe feedingi just read somewhere that pigs

i just read somewhere that pigs die because if minerals and I am now afraid cuz she has eaten a little but of it

Please follow all the advice in Wiebke’s post and the guides added in above.
Remove veg from her diet, offer her plenty of hay, switch to daily weight checks and step in with support feeding.

If your piggy has diarrhoea they need to be seen by a vet at the earliest possible. Especially so if it’s a recurring issue.
I gave her hay and she surprisingly started to eat it and today she is great running having fun. But still I don't want to give her veggies yet.

Please continue to weigh her once a day just to make sure she is eating enough hay.
